5 Steps to Getting Started STRONG at Swan Dive

Our mission at Swan Dive Center for Pilates is to support you in reaching your exercise goals – and to do it with ease and joy!

Over the years we’ve helped hundreds of people, and we’ve learned a few things along the way. 

Here are the tried and true, 5 Steps to Getting Started STRONG. Let’s get you feeling your best and enjoying Pilates, as quickly as possible!

  1. Start with our Free 30 Minute Consultation.

At the consultation we’ll discuss what you’re looking to get out of this experience. And we’ll learn about you! Are you brand new to Pilates? Wanting to get back into shape after an illness or injury? Working on improving your golf or paddle ball game? Wanting to age with vitality? Or, to support a chronically bothersome back? This is the time where we discuss how to get you there. We’ll share a plan to move you forward towards those outcomes. At the consultation you’ll also see the studio, get your questions about Pilates answered, and learn how we do things here at Swan Dive. 

Then….

  1. Attend your three “Start Strong Sessions”. 

Based on your availability, we will meet for three private, one on one Pilates sessions. Learn (or review) the fundamentals of Pilates, making sure you are familiar with the “lingo”, the body positions, the equipment and the beginner exercises. We’ll discover how exercises may need to be adapted for your body, based on your strength, fitness ability or injury. You’ll learn breathing techniques and other tools to help you get the most out of every movement.

We want you to feel competent and have a strong foundation, whether you go onto our small group Reformer classes or continue on with private sessions. No one should feel uncomfortable attending a small group class at Swan Dive! The “Start Strong Series” sets you up for success and gives us an opportunity to get to know your strengths and challenging areas. This helps us match you with the right class &/or one on one instructor.

  1. Be consistent in your new routine and see how your body changes!

We’ll check in and be by your side, helping you each step of the way.
